John & Steph came to me tonight at church asking what the heck was going on with you with this picture…..this is first time i lookied at your website, sorry…..sitting at computer has not been the easiest thing for me latley. but i will touch in more now. you continue to be in my prayers, but most importantly in HIS!

I understand the picture. Perhaps I’m one of the few who could. I can understand the concern of those viewing it too. It is shocking in some ways — a bit morbid. Yet it is also, from my perspective, a symbol of release. I had a psych teacher who explained the physiology of tears, and he added that tears, like laughter, are a sign that change is happening in the psyche. They show that the person is releasing something. (That’s my rather unsophisticated layman’s explanation). Anyway, I think this picture is similar. It’s a symbol of release, and while it’s shocking and morbid, when rightly understood, it’s also good news! I’ll stop there. I’ll simply add, “I get it,” and “it’s very good.”
